Bloom Time: Late August Betty Lou is a charming chrysanthemum with striking red button blossoms covering the plant. Part of the Mammoth variety bred at the University of Minnesota, this variety can withstand temps -30 degrees. Likewise it performs equally as well in warm climates. By the second year the one plant can grow 4’ across, so make sure to leave plenty of room. With hundreds of blooms per plant, it makes for a tremendous impact as a hedge or for mass planting.
